Model from Ma & Lowry, USArray Imaging of Continental Crust in the Conterminous United States (Tectonics, 36(12): 2882-2902, 2017)

This directory contains the most commonly-requested model-files of estimated fields described in Ma & Lowry (2017) USArray Imaging of Continental Crust in the Conterminous United States, Tectonics, 36(12), doi:10.1002/2017TC004540, 2882-2902.

Included here:
  • MapHKBig.xyheke contains optimally interpolated estimates of crustal thickness and vP/vS ratio, from joint inversion of seismic receiver functions, gravity and a seismically-derived thermal model of the lithosphere. (Ascii, six columns: Longitude, Latitude, Crustal Thickness (km), 1-sigma uncertainty (km), vP/vS ratio, 1-sigma uncertainty. Images shown below:
  • Crustal thickness (km) from Ma & Lowry.

Bulk-crustal seismic velocity ratio (vP/vS) from Ma & Lowry.

If there are other fields described in Ma & Lowry (2017) that you would like to acquire, let me know and I'll provide them/include them here.
